Design Consultants Statement:
Azimuth Building Designers Warren R Flynn & lyndall adams
This functional contemporary design has been inspired by a blend of nautical materials and contemporary lines suitable to this landmark site.
By utilising a unique beach style, innovative materials and sound environmental principles each element has been designed to address the building's discrete sculptural form.
The unit layout exploits the northerly aspect and ocean breezes from an elevated position surveying 180º views overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Clarence River waterways and Yamba Harbour.
Turn key - lock-it and leave it convenience was a prime aspect of the design brief.
Security and privacy were also paramount considerations for the project along with minimising future maintenance.
The philosophy of elegance and innovation predetermined the selected finishes, fixtures and fittings throughout all apartments. This contemporary architectural statement is a synthesis of nautical inspiration and North Coast charm, in sympathy with building materials required for longevity by the sea.
